The red tuning
There are few cars with a cult following as large as the Chevrolet Camaro. His
reputation exceeds even car enthusiasts, and is recognized worldwide not only as a machine, but as a symbol of usa. He became an icon of pop culture as well and it made
appearances on tv, countless movies and had even entire songs written about it.
Unlike most pop culture, however, the Camaro's reputation is completely unfounded. I'm not too keen on many American cars, but even I can not resist a first generation Camaro, and this is one of the few cars in the usa that I penciled in my personal bucketlist construction. I mean look at that body shape, it's spectacular. How the C-pillar rollinground in the rear fender is to die forThere's just something so threatening behavior of the F-body I can not put my finger on.Although it may be more similar than it is different from a Mustang at the beginning, for me there's just something a little more sinister of the Chevy. When you add an exhaustground shaking and add great height or canopy in the mixture just to give small children nightmares.
What I particularly like about Big Red's signature Pro-Touring style, a sub-generates hot water tapping this car inadvertently started long before the term was never used. Withsuper aggressive size large wheels filled with larger brakes and a no-nonsense exteriorcombined with a frame built for this purpose which is not to love?
Of course, a crazy 13.5:1 block Chevy 598 (9.8L!) Great with a pair of carbs Brasswellthe size of cantaloupes does not hurt either. At least it does not hurt until it starts and runsto vibrate the fillings on the teeth. Although it may seem a bit exaggerated, it's all part of the equation in the pursuit to build a car that does one thing very, very well ...go like a bat out of hell. While the evolution of the Big Red car turned into something quite radical even by today's standards, it was a complete redesign of how Camaro and hot rods in general, were built when it was built in 1989. Although this car is known worldwideas Big Red, Big Red is technically II.
Big Red Larry Callahan inspired to invent the phrase Pro-Touring and has since created a forum dedicated solely to this style. If I could turn back time to 1989, I do not know what RJ would be more difficult to believe - that his car has started a revolution, or to grasp the concept of an iPod.1969 Chevy "Big Red" CAMAROENGINE598ci (9.8L) big block Chevy, Brodix block, Big Duke cylinder heads 11, Carillo connecting rods, billet crankshaft, 13.5:1 pistons, Comp Cams cam, Hogan sheetmetal intake dual quad; Brasswell 850fm carburetors, MSD crank trigger -7 and more digital ignition box, Dan Olson Dry Sump Pan; SCP oil pump; REF custom header w / 2.25 "primary and merge collectors, Spintech oval exhaust pipe, fuel cell fuel secure, Aeromotive fuel pumps; Q VP-16 fuelPERFORMANCE1107hp @ 7000rpm, 887 pounds-ft @ 5500rpmLINE DRIVEMcLeod 10 1/2 "double clutch w / aluminum flywheel and hydraulic throw-ride; Lakewood Scatter shield style Liberty Road Race Transmission 4-speed, long lever, Ford 9" floater rear axle w / 31 -spline spool, custom ring and pinion 2:64SUSPENSION / CHASSISCustom tube frame stock car chassis by Inland, AQ-1 2-way adjustable coilover shocks, springs 800 pounds (before), £ 275 springs (rear); Speedway Engineering 1.25 "tubular stabilizer bar (front) gable Stiletto and rack; SCP pin, aluminum hubs, 3-link rear suspension with adjustable Panhard barBRAKES14 "rotors w / Baer 6-piston calipers (front), 14" rotors w / Baer 4 piston calipers (rear)WHEELS AND TIRES18X8 "/ 18x12" BBS Racing wheels (F / R) P245/40ZR18 (front) P315/40ZR18 (rear) Hoosier R6 DOT slicksCABINBucket Seats Kirkey; harness, Autometer tach, Stewart-Warner gaugesBODY1969 stock Camaro body, rear spoiler style stock, stock style front spoiler w / 2 "divider; 2" range hood w / snorkel deflector grille; band 200 mph
